Mr. Morrill was born January 16, 1761, and died September 21, 1843. at the age of ninety- two. His wife died in June, 1820. They were the parents of eleven children. (1) Nancy, born August, 1794, married William Perrin and moved to New York State. (2) Betsy, born March 6, 1796 married Peter Lougee, and moved to Chelsea, Vt., where she died July 20, 1852. (3) Ira, born September 5, 1797, was twice married. First, Mary Pickens, to whom he was married January 1, 1824. His second wife was Mary B. Smith, and they were married June 2, 1839. He was the father of three children: Charles, born September 1, 1840; lra Smith, born February 26, 1842 and J. Wallace, born February 1, 1844, died October 22, 1845. Charles H., son of lra Morrill, married Cornelia P. Wilbur, April ll, 1862, and she bore him four child- ren, viz: J. Wallace, born January 12, 1863, married Carrie Carlisle. March 20, 1887, and and tbey have one daughter. Flora B. born married Carrie Carlisle. March 26, 1887, and and they have one daughter, Flora B., born July 28, 1882; a girl died in infancy: William T., born November 16, 1865, married Viola Irene Stoughton, January 15, 1890, and is the father of two children, E. Pember, born October 3, 1892, and Charles Stoughton, born June 6, 1893: Jennie R., born October 2, 1871, and died May 23, 1892 (4) Marion, born September 19, 1799, married Ashael Brainard, Jr., February 4, 1824, and died March 17, 1833, leaving three children. Marion, Ezra and Louise. 5) John, born June 1, 1801, married Abiah Osgood, and died October 29, 1853. Their children were Laura. Osgood, Ira and Ferris. Page 80 (6) Polly, born April 15, 1803, married Philander Smith December 1, 1825, and and died in November, 1885, She was the mother of three children, Louise, Emily and Henry. (7) Martha. born May 14, 1805, married Ira Walbridge, February 1, 1827, and now resides in Wolcott, Vt. {8 and 9) Twins. died in infancy. (10) William, born January 11, 1811, married Anna Folsom, who bore him two sons, Azro and John. The family moved to Tunbridge, Where William died 0ctober 20, 1893. (11) Gilbert, born February 11, 18l3, married Sally Sprague, April 25, 1837, who bore him two children, Mary and Olivia. Mary was born in Randolph, November 1. 1838, and married John H. Blaisdell, January 18, 1859. They had six children, viz: Sarah 0., born May 4, 1860, and died September 15, 1869: Mary Etta, born December 20, 1862, and died June 1, 1864: Gilbert M., born November 6, 1866, now on the farm with his father. He married Jennie M. Brigham, January 3, 1893, and they have one son Ernest G., born October 9, 1893. Infant son born December 1, 1870, and died Decem- ber 15, 1870: Sarah M., born August 14. 1873, now living at home. Olivia, second child of Gilbert and Sally (Sprague) Morrill, was born December 4, 1842 married Hazen Wood, February 21, 1872 and was the mother of three children, two of whom are living. Grace, born January 22, 1873, and Ethel, born April 7, 1878.
