(1) Like h i s father before him, Christopher was a member of the Rhode Island General Assemb l y - representing Westerly from 1723 - 1726. He was also a Justice of the Pea c e there for over ten years, having first been appointed in May 1720 and final l y refusing another appointment by the General Assembly in May 1730.
