However this is not enough proof that Lucretia was a Simp son. It is more likely she was a Fitch who first married a Clark as shown in t he Pember book above. Possibly the 1850 US Census shows the right Lucretia. From the Pember book above we know that William Dwight Pember first married "Mrs Lucretia (Fitch) Clark". If this Lucretia in this census is the one who married William/Willard Dwigh t Pember then Eleaza Fitch and Sophronia are probably her parents. The location of the Census is where it is known to be one of the places she lived and died. Lucretia could very well have been a Clark ar this time.
