      LEE, Peter, Lieutenant, N.C. Continental Line
      Soldier was the son of 'old' Peter Lee (1734-1804) and Mary Cato
      (1737-1777) who moved to the Sampson County area from Virginia
      very early. He was born about 1760 in Virginia.

      Soldier made his will 1 Oct 1846. In it he names his children:
      1- Peter R., IV (1806-185-) who married Dicey
      2- A daughter who was deceased but had married Hudson,
      leaving two small daughters.
      3- Jane who married Lewis Saucer (Sasser).
      4- Mary who married William Noles (Knowles).
      5- Pheraba who married Kedar Lee (son of Lemuel).
      6- Kitsey who married Furney Tart. And
      7- Vianna who married Alpha Lee. Soldier's will was taken for
      probate at the Nov. term of Sampson County Court 1846.
